Swimming Party

After the boys got out of school I got a couple weeks to spend with them homework free until school started after the 4th of July.  I was able to take them to see Uncle Derek's new place on Lake Tapps. It just so happened to actually one of the few nice days we've had here this summer. I got a little extra crispy. Will I ever learn?!

I just wanted to say how handsome my son Dallas is-he moved up to Lynnwood with his dad and wanted to start a lawn mowing business. This picture is the one that is on his Facebook page advertising his services.

It's Great to be 8!

 Brandon made the decision to be baptized and we were finally able to arrange it with the stake and and get it done. It was the last Saturday of spring break and we had lots of family and some new friends there. Richie did the baptism and grandpa Stone did the confirmation.    Brandon was excited that is family could participate in the ordinances.   We went back to the house after the baptism and
had a family home evening taught by Lisa, and then we had a barbecue and pool party followed up by a Mariners baseball game. Uncle Derek, aunt Lisa, uncle Rex, Chanelle, Mercedes and her fiancé Rex,  my friend Courtney, and his five children were also able to come with us for all the festivities this weekend. It was a busy weekend but lots of fun!

We went back to the Best Western after the game,where Courtney and his kids were staying, and went swimming and ordered pizza. I surprised the kids and got a room for us there also on the second night of the Rawson visit. Overall fun weekend!

Award Time

I got a call from Mrs. Colt, Brandon's teacher, letting me know that he was going to be getting an award at the upcoming school assembly.  She said it was a surprise so I didn't let him know I was going. It was super cute seeing his face since he didn't know that he was getting anything.  The category that he received the award in was Responsibility.  Only 2 second graders were chosen for this award and Brandon received one of them. Super proud mama right there:)

Elk

We are so lucky to see the elk here on a regular basis. Many times driving the kids to school in the morning they are nesting in the upper part of the property. This picture was taken while they were in the back of the property.

Spring Concert

Cody had his spring concert at Frontier Middle School March 3rd.  Aunt Lisa, Chanelle and Richie were able to come and support him which was really nice. Afterwards we went to Dairy Queen and got some yummy ice cream.  Thanks for coming guys!!!

Trip to Urgent Care

We were setting up the trampoline after we moved into the house and Dallas was stretching one of the coils with another coil to get it on the little hook. Well needless to say the coil sort of slipped out of his hand and sliced his finger pretty good. I took him to urgent care in Spanaway (the same place I took him when he broke his collar bone). They said he didn't need any stitches but it would be sore for a while. *Fast forward a couple months and it's completely healed with not even a scar:)
