Big Fan
Brandon got a really cool surprise in the mail yesterday. It was a letter from Colin Kapernick. It said it appreciated having him as a fan and he sent him a signed trading card. The boys were sure excited and hope they get letters back from the players they sent pictures to. (We sent these before Christmas)
Family Time
My parents came up for a visit and stayed for about a week. We had lots of fun with them and I know I certainly enjoyed all the projects that got down around here because they were here. The boys were having their mid winter break so we were able to do a few fun things during the days. We went to the theater in Federal Way and introduced them to "Thor". After that we were playing catch up on all the other Avenger movies while they were here. We didn't finish them but I think we have given them the bug to watch the others. *One of the big projects my mom helped me with was making a curtain for the breakfast nook. With the leftover material she made some pillows for my couch. I really love the talents that she has been blessed with.
Soccer Season
Elijah is enjoying his time in Soccer this season. This is first time playing soccer and is actually a pretty good little player. He has only had 2 games so far but I can already see improvement. Last night he got to play goalie for the second half of the game. He blocked plenty of shots, although the other team got 3 past him, we still pulled out a victory.
Blue and Gold Banquet 2014
Cody advanced to Webelos at the Blue and Gold Banquet last month. We had a dinner and then a carnival. Cody was in charge of the put put golf. Elijah and all the boys turning 8 and going into scouts were honored...Elijah will become a cub scout in April and he is sure excited. We already have his shirt ready for him.
Playing Catch Up...
I finally got my pictures imported from my camera to the laptop so wanted to get these pictures and events in for the record books. First, Dallas and Cody had successful basketball seasons. Dallas got the record for most fouls, I'm sure..but regardless he had fun playing for Bethel Rec with his friends and then playing church ball as well. Cody really enjoyed his basketball season as well. Since he's still in grade school they did trophys and a pizza party for the kids at Round Table.
(Just for the record, Dallas isn't in the team photo because he bolted right after the last game...so I have the team minus Dallas)
(Dallas and Dane-quite the combo)
March Madness
Brandon turned 6 on Wednesday. Brandon is the youngest in our family and we love him so much. He is such a character and he knows it! He loves to laugh and cuddle and loves all thing BOY. Football, playing zombie, soccer, tag, building houses with his lincoln logs, creating pizzas with play dough or drawing another masterpiece..Brandon is always busy. Brandon didn't have school on Wednesday so we took treats to his class on Tuesday-Donuts! All the kids were super excited. Mr. Bayliss had Brandon stand on a chair while they sang Happy birthday to him. It was super cute. We let him open our present for him and had some cupcakes that he picked out. We will still celebrate with more family on Sunday when we can all get together.
