Boogie Man

Well my baby went and turned 14 on me! I can't believe how grown up he is becoming. I heard someone with a deep voice talking at mom and dad and Tam's place and I asked Lisa if Richie was there-he was going to try to come later after work-well they said no it's Dallas. I couldn't believe that was my Dallas. Welcome to the world of maturity, and a deeper voice Dallas. I love you so much and couldn't be prouder of the young man that he is and is working towards.  Dallas is very smart and likes to laugh and make others laugh.  I love you Dallas.

Just for fun

I got this picture in an email the other day and it made me chuckle quite a bit so thought I would put it on here so I don't forget it.

Time to Soar

So proud of my nephew Richie.  He earned his Eagle Scout Award and had his ceremony on Monday. Such a big accomplishment!

Concert Time

My brother Derek bought tickets to the Brandon Flowers concert in Portland when he still lived in Idaho and the day finally came last week.  We had so much fun. We walked around Pearl District and saw tons of cool little shops and also tried VooDoo Donuts (they were huge)!!  Then we had awesome views in the theater where the concert was. It was standing room so we were super close to the stage. It was a great show with Brandon Flowers playing stuff from his Desired Effect album, some from Flamingo and then some old school Killers stuff!  We even hung out after the concert and saw him getting back on his tour bus-I would definitely go see this show again! Great performer:)

First Day

Our first day of 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th grade was a success!  All the boys came back with good reports!  So happy that it went well for them.  It's always a sigh of relief to know they like their teachers and they were with friends.  I love my boys so much!  I can't believe how fast they are growing up!!!

Point Defiance Zoo

Took the boys and Haven to the zoo today. The kids had earned free tickets to the zoo from the library for reading and since school is starting next week, I thought it would be a fun last minute thing we could do.  The boys even tried dipp'n dots for the first time so they were excited about that.  It was a bit cooler and overcast but that it made nice for us as the animals were out and not hiding from the heat. Right before we headed home, we stopped in the kids zone to play for a bit. Super fun time. I hope the kids had fun. I really was kind of disappointed as they don't have very many animals there. The aquarium part was neat, and the sharks were cool.  We saw the new tiger cubs with their mama...she was licking and cleaning on of them-they sure are getting big now.  There was also a really cool monkey that just kept swinging all over the enclosure right in front of us. I wish I had a picture of him.
