Band Concert

Cody had his first band concert last night. They played a total of 8 songs which lasted a total of about 10 minutes. Cody even had a part where he stood up with a few other selected players for a special duet number. Earlier, before we left for the concert, Cody wanted to shine up his instrument- so he greased the slide and polished up the brass. During one of the songs it was apparently greased very well as the slide flew right off and hit the floor. I knew immediately what had occurred and silently chuckled to myself as I saw Cody bend down to retrieve the slide. Needless to say his face was a rosy shade of red but he continued on like a trooper without skipping a beat. Way to go Cody!!

Niner Nation

Look! My niece is a niner fan!! LOL....I bet her parents will love this picture:)

Just for the record....

I got a new bedspread for my room, which I totally love by the way. So flowery....so girly....well anyways...I needed some pillow cases to match so I bought some fabric and made my own. I don't sew very often so had to get this written down for the record books:) BEFORE
AFTER

Pinewood Derby

The boys have been working on their pinewood derby cars for a couple of months and the big day finally arrived and paid off. Cody won 1st with his car, "Silver Sliver", and Elijah won 3rd with his car, "The American Flag". It was a fun night! On to districts! Grandpa Stone was even able to come out and support the boys.

Happy New Year-2015

The boys and I celebrated hard by watching Diary of a Wimpy Kid, playing Uno and tennis on the xbox. It was a laid back kind of night and was just fun. It was nice not having to worry about driving back home from anywhere. The neighbors were letting off some really loud and probably expensive fireworks in the cul de sac after midnight. I heard something hit the roof as well but I figured if anything started on fire that they would've told me by now:) LOL Anyways...I know this post has a lot of pictures but wanted to get some updates in on Christmas Eve, Christmas, and family fun while my parents and little brother were up for the holiday.
"The boys trying to make a 2 0 1 5" "Bunch of Party Animals We are:)"
Christmas Eve at Grandpa, Grandma and Aunt Tammy's Home There was a fun cologne lottery and we all got to pick out some really good smelling perfume and colognes. Afterwards we had a talent show. Dallas and Cody played Jingle Bells and did a nice job on that. Elijah read the Christmas story; Brandon was going to hold up puppets while he did so but I ended up doing it since he was really feeling sick that day. Kylee and Juliet did a little dance, Chanelle played the piano and did a really nice job (I should learn how to play:) and then Aunt Lisa read a cool story about a Christmas key and then ended up giving all the families their own Christmas key that we of course had to put out that night for Santa Clause. We got to open our gifts from everyone on Christmas Eve since we were going to spend Christmas Day at my sisters home in Puyallup. We got an awesome blanket that was personalized just for us, unfortunately I didn't get a group shop:( and then a couple of awesome church videos, candy, and a fun toy for the boys that makes noise. I was able to give our gift as well. I made the families about 4 freezer meals apiece so that they could spend more "Time" with their loved ones. It was a lot of work but definitely worth it. We had a super yummy corn chowder for dinner and lots of yummy treats and played some games and even watched a couple of Christmas movies before calling it a night. We still had to get our goodies ready for Santa's arrival that night.
Our Awesome Blankets-
Waking up Christmas Morning we saw that Santa made a mess and left footprints in the kitchen but I think he made up for it by the nice gifts he left the boys:)
Christmas Festivities at the Marinelli Home-
We went to the mall in Auburn one day to spend some Christmas $$$. Didn't end up getting anything but we let the littles play in the indoor play area for a while and ended up teaching the boys how to play Trouble. They LOVE it! Guess that's one we should have in our collection.
(Also discovered that taking goofy selfies is just way too much fun:)
