Elijah's Party

We were able to celebrate Elijahs birthday last night at Grandpa, Grandma's and aunt Tammys home. Elijah has wanted a buzz lightyear theme (from the movie Toy Story) for quite some time so that is what it was. We found a few things and I think it turned out pretty cute. I made his birthday cake to look like Andy's bed on the movie with marshmellow fondant and then bought some little toys from the movie to put on and around the bed. I think the cake turned out pretty cute.

Elijah had a great time and loved all of his presents. He was guarding them ever so carefully from the babies-waiting for everyone to finish eating so that he could tear into them. Now all he has to do is fight Brandon for them because unfortunately he says they are all his:)
*We also had a pinata and as soon as we got outside to start hitting it, the rain started to pour! so only 1 picture was taken. I guess that is something you just have to deal with in Washington though!!

Elijah's Night Out

Last night we decided to take the kids to the Rainforest Cafe to celebrate Elijah's birthday. They seated us in the gorilla section and almost immediately after sitting down there was a "thunderstorm" and the gorillas started whooping and hollering and while Dallas and Cody loved it-Brandon and Elijah were freaking out! Serious hysterics!! I had to take them to the bathroom while all the commotion was going on and then had to literally drag Elijah back to our table. Our server was very nice though and helped us find a seat where it was a lot more peaceful. After that we had a great time.
Our server even brought an ice cream sundae for Elijah with a candle and they sang to him and everything. Afterwards we walked around the mall for a while and just had fun being together. We had fun celebrating Eli's birthday and can't wait for his family party tonight.

Elijah is 4!!!

Happy birthday to my sweet Lijah! Elijah was our 1st Washington baby and our smallest yet to date-8 lbs. 11 oz. When we were expecting Elijah the doctors told us about an abnormal cyst in his head and told us we should consider terminating the pregnancy. That was never an option for us-we would have loved him no matter what-and then a follow up ultrasound a couple months later showed the cyst had dissolved on its own.

Elijah is one of the sweetest and most lovable little guys we know. He is definately the most ticklish, as all you have to do it look at him and he busts out in hysterics. We love his fun personality and his fun imagination. He always loves to put on costumes and pretend to be buzz lightyear, spiderman, scooby doo and power rangers. We couldn't imagine our family as complete without our Elijah. Happy 4th birthday sweetie!!

Soap Party

Just wanted to post a few pictures of the many different soaps we made yesterday. Like Tam mentioned in her earlier post-they were so much fun to make and the scents were so yummy. My favorite scents were apricot, roasted chestnuts, cantaloupe, lilacs and lilies and ocean mist or breeze (I can't remember exactly what the name was). There were different kinds of soaps to use as well-white, goats milk and glycerin. I can't wait to make more:) The boys also had lots of fun picking different colors and molds to make their soaps in.

Birthday Party

We were invited to a birthday party for a boy in our ward. Elijah and Brandon had a blast. The party was a farm theme and was decorated so cute with hay bales, live baby chicks, outdoor games and a yummy bbq. Couldn't ever get Brandon to hold the chicks as he thought they would bite him but Eli sure liked them. There was also a giant bounce house with a horse head on top which was really fun as well.

Ward Party

Tonight we had our ward talent show/potluck. There was even a cupcake contest so I decided to enter. I made some chocolate cupcakes that I had seen in my cupcake book. It looked like veggies in a garden. Anyways...I did earn honorable mention for the "healthiest" looking.

Pinewood Derby

We went to our first pinewood derby last night for Dallas. We were sure excited to see how Dallas' car would do. We got there a little before 6 since that was the time the derby was suppose to start. Lisa and her kids and dad were already there waiting when we pulled up. They kept waiting for more people and didn't actually get things started till 7 o'clock. Dallas' car was pretty consistent-coming in 2nd a lot of the times. One time he even came in first but two of the other cars jumped track so they redid the whole race. We hope next years race will go a lot smoother. We are sure proud of Dallas and the hard work he and daddy put into the "Silver Dragon".
After the derby we went to Baskin Robbins and had some ice cream. Unfortunately right before I got a picture of Dallas eating his sundae, he hit his funny bone and started crying. It was a rough night.

More Easter Egg Hunting

A little late-

I know Easter has come and gone now but it wouldn't be right if I didn't post some pictures from our weekend. We took the boys to the easter egg hunt at the Puyallup Rec Center on Valley Ave. which was fun the kids. I took Brandon and Elijah to the bunney barn and when it was our turn to meet the easter bunny Brandon gave the loudest, highest pitch scream I'd ever heard. It was actually quite funny. Elijah was hiding behind me the whole time and wouldn't let the easter bunny see him either. Oh well... maybe next year?! Sunday we went out to my in laws and we had a wonderful easter egg hunt and dinner. Lots of fun with family and friends.
The kids are back in school now and we are sure glad for that. Cody has a field trip tomorrow and Dallas has his first pinewood derby tomorrow night so we are really excited for that. I'll get on update on those results tomorrow!!

Ladies That Laugh

I had my little Poise Ladies Who Laugh party tonight. It was very small and intimate but lots of fun. We played some purse bingo and gave away prizes, talked about bladder leakage:) lol and then made some homemade frozen yogurt. Everyone brought their kids so they all had lots of fun too. I'm glad that I have such awesome sister in laws and friends that will come and hang out with me on a Friday night. Mike is at Mister Miyagi's triumphant return at the Tulalip Casino. Desi and her friend Phil, caught a ride with Michael and probably won't get home until 3 or 4. Can't wait to take the kiddos to the easter egg hunt tomorrow morning and watch Conference. I love Easter!
