Sleeping Babies

Went over to mom, dad and Tam's house tonight to finish watching our marathon session of Lonesome Dove-man that is a good movie! I cried so much the last part of the movie when Gus died....We had Dallas' Blue and Gold Banquet for scouts on Tuesday night with an all you can eat nacho bar- we also went to Richie's Pinewood derby on Thursday night and got to see him race his way into second place-Way to go Richie~! Finished the week off with an auction here at BSS. Had about 50-60 people here which was an incredible turnout and made a good little chunk of change for the business. The boys all fell asleep on the way home tonight so I took pictures b/c Aaron gave them leftover balloons from the open house he had today and I thought it looked funny how you could only catch glimpses of the kids because of the balloons:)

Fun Times

I took an ice cream treat to Cody's class yesterday in celebration of his birthday. When it is a child's birthday in Kindergarten they are "Student of the Week". We made a poster with pictures of our family and Cody doing various things. We wrote down what Cody's favorites were and fun facts about him. Afterwards I went back home and Daddy and the boys were playing with each other. The boys love their daddy:)

Happy Birthday to you....

Our special valentine baby is 6 today. We love Cody so much. Cody wanted a transformer birthday celebration so that is what we did. I mentioned earlier that Mike had started making an Optimus Prime pinata. Well after about 12 hours of hard work and dedication-this was the final result:)

My parents were able to come down for the weekend as well so that was extra special. My mom helped me out a ton in the kitchen with prep work for the birthday party. I made an autobot jet for the cake and we had a fun bbq with family. Cody got spoiled with some really fun presents -stay tuned for more pictures of the party-

Busy, Busy

Today was a pretty busy day for us. We are trying to finish up Cody's birthday "stuff" and amongst this stuff is trying to make a pinata. I've never made a pinata before but my sweet husband has, so he graciously volunteered to make one for him since I refuse to pay 15 dollars for paper that was going to be destroyed in a matter of minutes. ( I think next time though, even though this has been a learning experience, I may buy one:) lol )

Dallas and Cody also had their Valentine parties at school today along with a short play put on by Dallas' class this afternoon. Dallas was in a small group that read some neat things about Abraham Lincoln. He had about 5 lines and spoke up nice and loud-we were sure proud of him. We love our kids so much and enjoy all the fun things like this we get to do with them. Stay tuned for more pictures of our pinata project to see how it all turns out:)

A New Found Treasure

Mike was doing a walk through of the units the other day and Brandon of course being the little shadow that he is followed his daddy faithfully. When they got back to the office, Brandon proudly showed me his new found treasure that he has taken everywhere since.

A beautiful pink purse-and then upon further examination we found a beautiful purple beaded necklace that he likes to play with. He says it's his purse so we'll just leave it with that:)
