Dallas had his last coach pitch game tonight. He did so good and we are so proud of him for doing so well and improving his skills through the season. He got 2 outs tonight. He played 3rd baseman one inning and got both the outs there. After the game the coach had a pizza party for the kids which was really nice. We hurried home afterwards because we were suppose to have an appt. with the missionaries but missed them due to the pizza party-we called them up and had them come over for ice cream sundaes. Both of the Elders are being transfered tomorrow so they wanted to come and say their good byes and get some pictures. I don't know what it is about missionaries but our boys always go so nuts whenever they come over here. We warn them ahead of time too but to no avail. Oh well....

Temple Day

Today we went to the Seattle Temple to be there for my sister in law and brother in law, Aaron and Juliet, as they were sealed to each other and to their son, Kingston. It was such a beautiful day and I'm glad that we were able to be there together as a family to celebrate this important event with them. I decided to surprise them by making them a cake with a little family on the top made out of fondant. It was a fun cake and I had fun goofing around with the fondant. I think it turned out pretty cute. The kids also had fun swimming in the pool with their cousin Richie and Mike had fun riding Aaron's dirt bike and even crashing it tonight.

More Weekend Fun

We spent some time with my aunt Mary, my dad's little sister, who drove up from California for the party on Sunday and took the kids to the Carousal park. We let the kids run in the new water fountains and we all got a little sun. It was fun and afterwards went back to my parents for dinner because they were having the sisters over for dinner. I've also included a few pictures from our hotel stay. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the pool and especially the hot tub there.

The cake that was definitely made with love

The boys and I got back this afternoon from Salem, Or. We had a super fun trip and have lots of fun memories. We went down to surprise my parents with a surprise luau for their 35th wedding anniversary. My sister Desi and I planned a fun scavenger hunt for them to participate in on Saturday and the last envelope took them to the park. They were both so surprised! We tried to incorporate things from their wedding such as their wedding flowers and wedding cake etc... Their wedding flowers were daisies so we had leis made out of daisies and we also did a replica of their wedding cake with a modern twist. It was a great success and everyone had lots of fun while there. Hope you enjoy some of the pictures!

More Soap!

I finally ran out of the homemade soap I learned how to make last January. Dallas and Cody decided that they were going to be my helpers and together made another 5 gallons of laundry soap. It was so easy and they had a blast stirring and pouring in the water. Thanks boys! It really does some money, doesn't take very much time and then you can splurge on something else like some fabric softener that smells reall nice. *If you would like the recipe I have it in an earlier posting- January 29, 2009 I believe;)

Game #3

Dallas had baseball pictures and a game tonight so we were gone all evening from home. Dallas did great tonight at his game though. He scored 4 times and only struck out once. He also played 1st base one of the innings and did awesome. There was a grounder hit...the pitcher caught it and threw it to Dallas on first (who was actually paying attention:) and caught it...claps were everywhere...and the hitter was out! Dallas and Mike have been working together lots practicing batting, throwing and catching. All the hard work is really paying off. One more game this week!

We just got back from an awesome 1st birthday party for Kingston. We went to Jumpin' Jack and Jill's in Sumner and boy did we all have a blast. The kids, myself included, were exhausted by the time we were done. It was so fun though. When we were leaving the kids were already asking when we could go back. I will have to keep this place in mind next time the kids have a ton of energy to run off.
