National Parks

We went to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon-it was super hot in St. George, usually over 100 degrees easily, so the drop in temperature was a welcome change. Brandon was pretty scared of the height so he stayed by the lodge when the Cody, Elijah and grandma and I ventured out to the ledge. We hiked a little bit but the height made me a little nervous too with Cody and Elijah being way to adventurous. We ended our outing by stopping by the giftshope and letting the kids pick something out.

Another warm day in but we headed up to Zions National Park anyways. We made a picnic and found a spot to eat and then did a little hiking. We didn't see any mountain goats or anything but it was beautiful none the less. The boys thought it was really cool and couldn't believe how big the cliffs were.

More playing around....lots of basketball for the kids and pool time and tanning for me.

Vacation Fun

After we left Rexburg, Idaho we head south to ST. George, Utah our final destination. We decided that we could all fit in our my parents small trailer to save some money so we could enjoy some other fun activities. We visited a fun arcade where the boys got to play black light miniature golf, arcade games, go on the slick track and bowling. There were also some fun parks that we spent time at so the boys could play basketball and run out some energy.

Yellowstone/Jackson Hole

I packed the kids up early the day after school got out for the kids and heading to Rexburg, Idaho. We stayed with Derek for a few days and had a lot of fun meeting up with Mercedes to go to Yellowstone National Park and then the next day heading to Jackson Hole Wyoming. We went on a beautiful hike and definitely enjoyed some of our gorgeous mother nature.

Welcome to Seattle!

A couple of my best friends from college came up for the weekend, Paula and April, and we had a great time exploring Seattle together. I took them to visit Pikes Place Market and the infamous gum wall (sooooo gross when you actually put a piece on the wall). They were also able to try Mod Pizza for the first time and enjoy some time away from their everyday lives. I love getting together with my girls.

8th Grade Dance

My little Cody is growing up. He looked so cute for the 8th grade dance. He ended up meeting a friend of his, Sam, at the dance and having a great time.

It's getting real!

I picked up my cap and gown and am getting so excited for being done with school! Rex and Lisa brought me over this super awesome gift of chocolate and rolled up money diplomas! They were so sweet to bring that to me. I have the best family that is so thoughtful.

Go All Stars!

Elijahs last game as a 6th grade Bethel Rec player. Elijah was the best 3rd baseman and I loved seeing him grow in his position. He had great coaches this year-Bill Price, Corey Henderson and Ed McDonald.

At Elijahs Banquet the coaches had nothing but positive and good things to say about Elijah and how well he worked hard and improved over the season. So proud of my Elijah!!

District Band Festival

Well I'm sure you can't see Cody up there playing but he was and at least I'll have this for record. He played in the District festival with several different middle schools and a high school. It was really a nice evening. The other two boys were playing baseball games so I was the only one there but I'm glad I could be.

Brandons first ER visit

Well it was about time that Brandon needed to go to the ER. He was playing some game involving a ball in PE and his shoes didn't have well enough traction and his head met another students knee. I got the call from the school so I went and picked him up and took him to the ER to make sure he didn't have a concussion. Luckily he didn't but he sure had a shiner for a few days and a bruise for a couple weeks. Plus he got out of school for a couple days so he was kinda excited about that. Elijah had a game that night so my sweet sister packed Haven up and picked Elijah up and I was able to make it after the hospital to see most of Elijahs game.

The wind up....

So happy that Brandon stepped out of his comfort zone and ended up pitching most of the season. By the end of the season he wasn't even looking at me after every pitch and mouthing, "I don't want to do this!" So funny that kid is!
