Me and my Girls
I went to Thain Thai tonight with a few girlfriends to celebrate my girl, Melissa's birthday. It was a really fun time. Good food, fun conversation and lots of memories. I love getting together and getting a much needed "break" from my kids once in a while. I'm just glad that I have an understanding husband who takes all the kids so that I can go and have some alone time with my girlfriends.

RIP Michael Jackson 1958-2009
Well as many of you have probably heard already the king of pop, Michael Jackson, is dead after suffering a heart attack in his home. We have been watching the news off and on since we heard. No matter what he has done with his life in the past few years...no one can deny what he did in the world of music. I mean come on... the man invented the moon walk. It's sad that he is leaving behind 3 children but his legacy will live on forever. He was soooo creative and always came up with new and exciting videos, dance moves, lyrics, etc. He played with and influenced so many artists. He had a good heart and he will be missed. Thanks Michael Jackson!

HB Lisa
Happy birthday to my awesome sister in law Lisa. You sure deserve a special day because you are one heck of a woman! You do so much for your precious family. Mercedes, Richie, and Chanelle are so lucky to have a mom like you-self sacrificing, compassionate, loving, creative, fun, thrifty...well the list could go on really. I am glad you are my sister in law. Love you Lisa!
Our Daddy:)
Happy Fathers Day Honey! I hope you have a great day. You are a good dad to our kids and they love all the time they get to spend with you everyday. They are growing up so fast but they have learned so much from you already. You take the time to teach and listen to them which is a wonderful attribute to have as a father. Thank you for all the little and not so little things you teach our boys everyday. You are their superman, terminator, defender, and best friend. I love you for all you do for us and them! Have a great day honey-
Happy Father's Day
I want to wish my dad a very Happy Fathers Day! I hope he has a wonderful day because he sure deserves it. My dad has always been there for me and our family. He's a hard worker, compassionate, caring for others, loving, has a gentle touch and is always thinking of others. From the time I was young he has always been there for our family doing what he had to do so we wouldn't go without. I have many fond memories of walking to our chapel in Elgin and taking him his lunch during the summer months. I would either go find him cleaning a various room or he'd be waiting for me at the front doors. We would sit there on the couches in the foyer and just talk. Those are very special memories for me and I'm so glad for the special time I got to have with him. My dad is a quiet man but to me his love for me and my family has spoken louder than words!

And the party continues...
After a long day at Best Self Storage Mike went on a crazy bike ride from our house to his parents in Graham. Brandon fell asleep right before he left so after he woke up we drove out to Graham to pick him up and then we took the boys to Panda Express for dinner. We all love the orange chicken there so we were excited to go....afterwards we went and saw UP in 3d at the theater. That is the first 3d movie that I've seen and it was really cute. I'm glad we were able to take the boys out and have fun as a family.

Last day of School
Well it's official....school's out for the summer. Dallas was sooooo excited to be done. We had to wait and talk to his teacher after school because he left his towel and swim shorts after field day two days ago but unfortunately those have gone missing. We are taking the kids out to celebrate tomorrow with dinner and probably a movie. We are hoping that UP will still be playing in 3D at the Regal. Cody is ready to start kindergarten tomorrow! Too bad he has to wait a couple of months. Dallas got an excellent report card though and his teacher had nothing but positive things to say about him on his report card. We are proud of you Booga!
Busy Week
This morning Brandon had his 15 month well child visit with Dr. Merrill in Enumclaw. The appointment went really well and the good news is that the fluid is gone from his ears so we don't have to think about tubes anymore. He was 33" long and 33.4 lbs. We are going to work on weaning him completely from his bottle so that his weight will level out more. The bottle is more like his pacifier so drinks a little more milk than he needs. It was a good visit though and he doesn't have to have any shots until his 18 month!

I was recently informed of a cool program called Zemanta and apparently it is suppose to be pretty amazing b/c it can provide links to websites and pictures etc..just by analyzing what you write in your blog post. So hopefully from now on my blogs will have some additional links and things you can click on for more fun! Oh yeah, it can even tell you what a good title for your post may be. Pretty cool!Monday, June 15, 2009
Out of the Mouths of Babes
During sharing time yesterday Sister Rouche was talking about how we can be clean spiritually and the different things we can do such as pray, read our scriptures, go to church etc...She had a big car drawn on posterboard and the kids would take turns taking off pieces of paper that looked like mud splats on the car. On the back of these spots were the things we could do to help stay "clean". Cody was picked to get the very last spot of mud off the car and when he pulled it off the back was blank so Sister Rouche asked Cody what he could do to stay clean and he answered back, "Take a Bath!". I thought it was cute and very appropriate;)

My parents and my sister, Desi, bought us some flowers and chocolates for Mike and I's anniversary. The flowers were just to beautiful so I decided to put them up on here. I love the contrast with the bright red roses and the stark white daisies. We had fun on our date the other night. We went to Outback and ate dinner, had some cold stone for dessert and then finished off the evening with a movie-Terminator. It was actually pretty good and pretty easy to follow even though I haven't seen the others. I'm glad my sister is always so willing to babysit for us so we can go out. I love my sista! Thanks Des!!

BSS Bark
I wanted to post a few pictures of the hard Mike has been working on the last few days...and yesterday with a gimp ankle even....I think it looks really nice. We got some new bark out front in front of the sign as well but I haven't gotten any pictures of that that. I spent the morning weeding the front but after so many thorns in my fingers I had to give up for a while. I still have the back side of the front facing Puerto Vallerta to finish up but it's coming along nicely. Dallas mowed all the lawns yesterday and Mike did a little weed wacking and blowing to finish up the beautification process:) We ended up getting 5 yards total so far.

9 Years
Nine years ago I was married to my best friend in the Mt. Timpanoogas Temple in American Fork, UT. We first met, officially, at Wal- Mart. I know how funny that may sound but we never spoke to each other until that day. I'm so glad that I introduced myself back then to this "hot guy". I think we were prepared for one another way back when...We were crazy in love when we got married and have enjoyed the ride ever since.
Sometimes we have rough spots, times that aren't so pleasant and wish we could forget, but my love is eternal for my husband and I relish the moments we get to spend together. Michael always makes me laugh..he's silly, gentle, a good listener, a shoulder to cry on, a good teacher, caring, strikingly handsome, and one of a kind. Through all the trials in our lives (although at times I think he may be mine) :) I'm glad that we can share them and battle them together. I love you GaGa!
Happy Anniversary.

Jr.
Today was a busy day for us. We spent the morning and most of the afternoon weeding in the yard and putting new bark down. We decided we needed something new and this was our solution. It really does the trick. Just one more load tomorrow morning and I think we can finish up for right now. We still got lots of work left in the front though (we want to pull up all the plants that look like they are creeping) and put new bark down there as well. After Mike's run tonight we loaded up the kids and saw a friend of ours at St. Joseph's in Tacoma. He just had his leg amputated this last week so we wanted to go and give him some encouragement and let him know that we are thinking about him. Jr. is a tenant here at Best Self Storage and always calls Michael "Prince Adam". I'd heard stories about Jr. but never actually met him until we moved in here to live. He is so sweet and kind and always has nice things to say to the kids and us. I love talking to him because he is soooo excited about the gospel. He is an assistant door greeter and he is always thrilled to tell us about it. Jr. has such a sweet spirit and I'm glad that we are able to know him and be his friends. The boys always talk about how Jr. went outside with them once while they were riding their bikes and he was chasing them in his wheelchair. The boys were so good in the hospital. We had so get all dressed up in yellow gowns, slippers, gloves, and masks because he was in isolation but the kids didn't mind. They actually loved it and wanted to take everything home with us. (I guess our kids don't get out much) Well I just finished my run so I'm heading to bed. I'm grateful that we are all healthy and together as a family. Seeing people like Jr. and their situations make me realize once again how lucky I am.

Just Chillin'
I love Sundays! I love the fact that we can just chill and hang out without having to worry about anything on Sunday....no running to the store for batteries or some other trivial thing or running to get take out because I don't want to cook. Just being able to be with my husband and kids all by ourselves in our pjs without worrying about anything is just awesome to me and I love it! That is exactly how we spent our Sunday today. After church we just hung out and played with the kids, watched a couple movies, took a nap with the babies, watched Dallas and Cody practice their fierce wrestling moves, ate some cheesecake and just had a fun day. I'm grateful that today was such a nice day and the boys got along so well today. I gotta say that today was a good day:)
