Field Trip Day

I was chosen to be one of the chaperones for Elijah's class field trip to the Museum of Flight. We have been there before as a family, but it's been a while. Our group had four boys: Elijah, Gavin, Andre and Conner. We had fun doing some classes at the beginning of our tour while learning about thrust, lift, pull, gravity etc. Then we were able to explore the museum by ourselves for a bit before leaving. We toured some life size planes including the previous airforce one used by President Reagan. The coolest plane we got to tour was the new 787 DreamLiner. This plane was AWESOME! There are beds in an upper floor (for the flight crew) and the seating is very spacious. It looks like a real comfortable ride ahhh:)
The last thing that was really cool was the fact that they had an airplane coming in making it's last flight to the museum. The plane will be on display at the museum. I told the boys how cool this was as they were part of this history and they can tell their kids someday, when they go to the museum of flight, that they saw the Navy EA-6B Prowler fly in for its Welcoming Ceremony. Here is a link for the flight if you would like to view it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaZNq-Pm_FQ&feature=youtu.be We just happened to be on the flight deck when the crew was dousing the pilot with water-the boys liked that.
We got back from the field before school was out but parents could take their child home early, so Elijah and I took advantage of this and had our "date". He wanted Menchies of course, so we were off!
