The happy couple

The cake that was definitely made with love

The boys and I got back this afternoon from Salem, Or. We had a super fun trip and have lots of fun memories. We went down to surprise my parents with a surprise luau for their 35th wedding anniversary. My sister Desi and I planned a fun scavenger hunt for them to participate in on Saturday and the last envelope took them to the park. They were both so surprised! We tried to incorporate things from their wedding such as their wedding flowers and wedding cake etc... Their wedding flowers were daisies so we had leis made out of daisies and we also did a replica of their wedding cake with a modern twist. It was a great success and everyone had lots of fun while there. Hope you enjoy some of the pictures!

Looks like you did an awesome job with the luau. Good job with the cake Derrinda. I'm glad you were able to surprise your parents in such a big way and also that you were able to have a bit of a family reunion with it and see some of your other relatives too. That's always fun. Happy Anniversary to your Mom an Dad.
